Zanin Transfer: Access to knowledge has a fundamental impact

In our project Zanin Transfer, part of the Transfer of Knowledge (TOK) initiative, we are working in collaboration with our local partners to support women and girls in Northeast Syria. In Kurdish, “Zanin” means “knowledge,” which is what we aim to impart. Through Zanin Transfer, we create new perspectives in a conflict-affected region by teaching essential computer and soft skills, such as resume writing, interview techniques, and building self-confidence. These competencies empower women and girls to become self-sufficient and actively participate in shaping their future.

What we are doing: Connecting knowledge with opportunities

The participants in our Zanin Transfer courses gain skills in using essential Office programs, computer fundamentals, and application strategies. By providing practical training, we support women and girls in establishing themselves in the workforce and exploring new pathways.

Tackling challenges together

Living in conflict zones presents unique challenges: often, women and girls lack access to education and must contend with societal norms that significantly limit their roles. However, we at Zanin Transfer are more than convinced of their capabilities, determination, and positive impact. Together, they can join us as students to learn new knowledge, grow from it, and achieve their goals.

Impressions from Zanin Transfer

With Zanin Transfer, we provide direct support to women on the ground, helping them acquire computer skills that enable them to actively participate in the job market.
